Lifetime Powertrain Warranty with White Bear Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi offers an outstanding warranty on new vehicles to give you peace of mind. White Bear Mitsubishi provides a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty in addition to the manufacturer's warranty. You can feel good about driving a Mitsubishi from White Bear Mitsubishi.

How Long Does the Warranty Last?

This Lifetime Powertrain Warranty is valid from the date of sale of the vehicle. It continues through the customer's lifetime or for how long they own the vehicle. It doesn't transfer to the new owner.

Inclusionary Warranty

This warranty is inclusive, which means only parts specifically included will be covered. The specific systems covered are listed as follows:

  • Engine: This includes the cylinder block and head, intake and exhaust manifolds, timing gears, chains and belts, water pump, and more.
  • Transmission: Including the transmission case, transaxle case, transmission mounts, master cylinder, and more.
  • Drive Train Assembly: Includes drive shafts, axle shafts and bearings, solenoids, traction control linkage, and more.
  • For a full list of parts, see the actual details of the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty or contact White Bear Mitsubishi.

How Much Do You Pay?

As with most warranties outside the original manufacturer's warranty, owners will have a deductible. With the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty, there is no deductible for the first ten years of service or 100,000 miles as long as it is owned by the original buyer. Once the vehicle reaches this milestone, the deductible is $100 or $50 if the vehicle is serviced at White Bear Mitsubishi.

For Certified Pre-Owned Mitsubishi models, the deductible is the same and is in place for the person who buys the CPO vehicle for as long as they own it.

To keep the warranty in place and valid, conventional oil changes should be completed every 3,000 miles and synthetic every 5,000. Oil changes may be performed by service technicians at any service center.

Exclusions

Any part not listed in the included parts list is not part of the warranty. Vehicles used for commercial purpose, for business or government use aren't covered by this warranty. Other exclusions include the following:

  • Vehicles used for racing
  • Vehicles used for towing unless equipped with tow package
  • Any repairs made without prior authorization from warranty plan administrator
  • Mechanical failure that results from lack of maintenance
  • Damage from continued use when a problem was apparent
  • Any vehicle with alterations done to the powertrain, suspension, or exhaust that wasn't approved by the manufacturer
  • Damages from overheating
  • Any damage covered by car insurance

As the owner, you're required to maintain the vehicle according to the schedule provided by the manufacturer in the owner's manual. You must also keep records of all maintenance. If you do any maintenance on your own, you must have a record of purchase for all parts and an odometer reading at the time.

Vehicles that are leased and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and Lancer Ralliart are excluded from coverage. All claims must be made through the White Bear Mitsubishi service department.
